Cirliane

Cirliane formed in 1999 in Goiânia, Brazil, with siblings Daniel, Daniela, and André, along with their friend Robinho. They started playing in the local gospel music community, though early on they had trouble getting booked at some venues. The group kept at it, and in 2002 they put out a single called 'Os Verdadeiros Adoradores' that caught on with listeners.

That song helped them reach a wider audience, though it also brought some criticism from people who felt their approach to faith was too narrow. They released albums like 'Cirliane' in 2002, 'Vertical' in 2005, and 'Paraíso' in 2013. Daniel sang and played guitar, Daniela handled bass and vocals, André was on drums, and Robinho played keyboards.
