The Argentine singer-guitarist formed this band after leaving his popular 1990s group.
For the vibe, 'Me Gusta' is still the obvious place to start. 'Servidor' or 'Por Cel' give you the later, steadier version of the band.
Ciro y Los Persas gave Martínez a second act after his years with Los Piojos. Their 2012 song 'Me Gusta' became a genuine breakout hit, its lyrics about romantic desire connecting with a wide audience. Tracks like 'Servidor' and 'Por Cel' show the uncomplicated rock sound they've stuck with ever since.
Martínez started in Los Piojos, which formed in 1989 and found popularity in the 1990s. He left in 2009, put out a solo album, and then formed Ciro y Los Persas in 2011 with some former bandmates. The band's sound has been pretty consistent since that 2012 hit.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
