Cirrosis was a band that made music about addiction and despair, with songs like 'Alcohol' and 'Mente Suicida' that felt raw and unpolished. Their sound had some punk aggression and metal thunder, but mostly it was just loud and direct.

They had a frontman named Dante who could both shout and sing, a guitarist called Lazarus, a bassist named Hades, and a drummer who went by Styx. The band toured heavily, which wore on them physically, Dante's voice got hoarse, Lazarus's fingers bled, and Styx's arms ached from drumming.

Internal tensions grew as the pressure did, and there were rumors about substance problems in the group. Their lyrics dealt with self-destruction and darker themes, which some critics said glorified bad habits, but the music connected with listeners who wanted something that didn't sound cleaned up.
