Cisco formed in Italy in the late 1990s, led by singer-songwriter Valerio Bruni Tedeschi. Their debut album 'A Volte' came out in 2000, with the title track becoming their breakthrough song. The band's lineup included Antonio Marcucci on guitar and vocals, Luca Chiaravalli on drums, and Massimo Marcucci on bass.
After Tedeschi's departure in 2002, Cisco continued releasing albums including 'Terra' in 2003 and 'La Margherita' in 2006. Their catalog grew to include 'Rosso Cuore' (2008), 'Come il Mare' (2010), 'Mille Anni' (2013), and 'Il Mondo' (2016). Other songs like 'Best' and 'Diamanti E Carbone' appear in their recorded work.
Their music drew from Italian folk and rock, with some later albums incorporating electronic elements. The band's sound developed across these releases while maintaining a focus on melodic songwriting.
