Classic 6 formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1996 with Prince on vocals, Thaíde rapping, Mister Jam on keyboards, Xande on percussion, and Paulo Jorge and Ronaldo Barcellos on guitars. Their debut album 'Minha Voz' came out the following year and established their presence in Brazilian music.
After Thaíde left in 2001, the group brought in new members including rapper Ndee Naldinho and drummer Bruno Khan. They released 'Influências' in 2005 and followed it with 'O Pensamento' in 2009, which showed a more reflective side with songs like 'Máquina do Tempo' and 'Nós Dois'.
Prince remained the consistent vocal presence through different phases of their sound.
