Claudine Longet

Claudine Longet was a French-born singer who recorded for A&M Records in the 1960s. Her version of 'A Man And A Woman' became a hit in 1966, and she had other popular recordings like 'Sunrise, Sunset' and 'All Alone Am I'. Her voice had a light, breathy quality that suited the soft pop and ballad material she often sang.

Her career was interrupted in the mid-1970s by a highly publicized legal case. She was convicted in connection with the death of her boyfriend, skier Spider Sabich, and served time.
