Claudinho Raiz was a Brazilian band that formed from a collective called Os Raízes. In 2004, they released the song "Sacopenapã," which became their most recognizable track. The group's core members included Claudinho on vocals, Neguinho da Beija-Flor on tambourine, and Pretinho on cavaquinho.
Their music blended samba, funk, and hip-hop elements. Claudinho's vocal delivery and stage presence became central to their sound, while Neguinho's rhythms and Pretinho's string work provided the musical foundation.
Claudinho Raiz released three studio albums: "Sacopenapã" in 2004, "No Mundo Encantado" in 2006, and "Nação Raiz" in 2010. In 2014, Claudinho was found dead in his home, and the circumstances around his death remain unclear.
