Claudio Agá

Claudio Agá was a Brazilian musician from São Paulo whose song "1, 2, 3 de Oliveira Quatro" became something of an anthem. He released his debut album with that title in 1982, and its raw, confessional style connected with listeners. The track "Catarina" also appears among his notable songs.

His music pulled from rock and samba, and he worked with artists like Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso. He put out records through the 1980s and 1990s, including Olho d'Água and Cabeça a Prêmio. Later years were marked by personal struggles, including addiction and legal issues over copyright for his signature song.

Agá's band included Fernando Malheiros on drums and Jairo Mercuri on bass. He kept recording into the 2000s with albums like O Último Acordo in 2006. Songs like "Amizade de Samba" and "Bira (A Lenda de Irajá)" show the samba influence in his work.
