Things changed in 1994 with the album "Umbigo." Its lead single, "Há Algum Tempo Eu Te Conheci," became a massive hit across Brazil. The song's success was complicated by accusations that its chorus borrowed from an older, lesser-known composition. The band denied it, but the claim stuck around for a while.
They kept recording through the 1990s and 2000s, putting out albums like "Acústico MTV" in 2001. Other songs like "Insisto" and "Novembro" show the range they worked in, from pop hooks to more reflective material.
