Clima Quente formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1996, a group of musicians drawn together by Brazilian rhythms. They started playing live shows around the city, building a following while working through the usual early struggles of a new band.
Their debut album Álbum de Fotos came out in 1999, featuring the track "Não Me Deixe Pra Depois." The band's sound mixed samba and funk with a straightforward energy. They followed with Do Lado de Cá in 2002, which included songs like "Além da cama" and "A Rotina."
Leandro Lehart handled vocals and guitar, Luiz Fernando played bass, and Vinicius Feijão was on drums. Their music had a live-band feel, with Lehart's voice carrying melodies over the rhythm section's grooves. Other songs from their catalog include "Acorrentado Em Você" and "Amo Em Silêncio."
