Their 1994 debut album "Alucinado" gave the band its breakthrough. The title track became an instant hit, and songs like "Sangue no Olho" and "Falsidade" showed their blend of psychedelic rock with hard-hitting lyrics about altered perception and social alienation.
As their popularity grew, C.Magrão faced criticism for lyrics exploring drug use and mental illness, and some concerts were canceled over allegations of drug possession and public disorder. They kept experimenting with different sounds while maintaining their psychedelic aesthetic, later collaborating with artists like V. Maia and Eutêmia on tracks such as "Chuva de Notas."
