Coco Fay formed in Los Angeles in the late 2000s around vocalist and songwriter Isabella Fay. The group included guitarist Ethan James, bassist Oliver Hayes, and drummer Emily Carter. Their first EP, 'Nocturnal Lullaby,' came out in 2010.
In 2011, they released the single 'Not The Same.' The song's lyrics and tone sparked debate, with some critics accusing the band of glorifying self-harm.
Bassist Oliver Hayes left in 2013, and the band took a break before returning with new bassist Thomas Reed. They released their debut album, 'The Edge of the Void,' in 2015.
