Cocora

Cocora is a Colombian music collective from Bogotá, formed in the early 2000s. The band is led by singer and songwriter Catalina García, with Juan David Galindo on guitar and Mauricio Rengifo on bass. Their sound mixes traditional Colombian music, folk, and electronica, as heard on tracks like "Soltura."

Their debut album, "El Olor de la Lluvia," came out in 2005, followed by self-titled work in 2008, "El Canto de las Montañas" in 2011, and "Guerrera" in 2016. Early on, they faced some skepticism from parts of the Colombian music industry, but they built an audience over time.

A few critics have questioned their use of indigenous sounds, though the band describes their music as an exploration of tradition and modernity. Their lineup has stayed mostly steady, with García's vocals at the center.
