Colina formed in Bogotá in 1993 with Juan Pablo Villamil on vocals and guitar, Mario Muñoz on guitar, Andrés Barreto on bass, and Camilo Velandia on drums. They released their self-titled debut album in 1995.
They followed it with "Desesperanza" in 2001 and "América" in 2004. Their song "Amándote" became one of their most recognizable tracks.
They've worked with other Colombian artists including Juanes, Shakira, and Alejandro Sanz. Later albums include "Los Tres" (2007), "Reír para no llorar" (2010), and "El Mismo Sol" (2013). Another song, "Tratándote de Ti," also appears among their popular work.
