The band's lineup included Manuel dos Anjos on vocals, Pedro Oliveira on guitar, Nuno Morais on bass, and Luís Cunha on drums. Their first album, 'Resistência,' came out in 1984, followed by records like 'Não Penses' in 1986 and 'Toca a Bombar' in 1988.
Their music often dealt with social issues, which sometimes put them at odds with authorities. The song 'Resistência' became particularly well-known for its defiant tone. Comando R released a live album in 1990 and returned with '9 Anos Depois' in 1998.
