Comunidade Filhos de Israel

Comunidade Filhos de Israel formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1995, starting as a worship team within the Pentecostal church Comunidade Cristã Nova Aliança. The group was led by Pr. Elizeu Araujo De Lima and his wife Fernanda Araujo. Their song 'Nunca Te Abandonarei' became particularly well-known in Brazilian gospel circles.

As their popularity grew, the group faced criticism from some who felt they were commercializing gospel music with polished production and extensive touring. There was also some public tension when member André Valadão left to pursue a solo career, though the group disputed his claims about the circumstances.

They continued performing and recording, with other songs like 'Sei Que És Deus' and 'Aumenta o fogo' reaching their audience. The group maintained their focus on worship music despite the occasional controversies that surfaced around them.
