## Artist context

Conception formed in Norway in 1989, growing out of an earlier group called Turn the Page. Their original lineup included vocalist Roy Khan, guitarist Tore Østby, bassist Ingar Amlien, drummer Arve Heimdal, and keyboardist Hans Chr. Gjestvang. They put out four albums between 1991 and 1997, starting with their self-titled debut and following with 'Parallel Minds' in 1993.
