Conjunto Ivoti

Conjunto Ivoti formed in 1991 in the small town of Ivoti, in Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state. The group came together around a shared interest in chamamé, a traditional Argentine folk style. Early on, they mostly played local events for little pay, but kept at it.

Things shifted in 2002 with the release of their album 'Entre Amigos y Chamamé.' The title track became a hit, and the record helped them reach a wider audience. They followed it with other albums like 'Alma Chamamecera' and 'Chamamé de Raiz.'

Their songs, including 'A El Cambacito' and 'Asi Se Baila El Chamame,' stick to the chamamé tradition. The core lineup has mostly stayed the same, with Joao Carlos Gomes on accordion and vocals, Eduardo Gomes on bass, Anderson Gomes on percussion, and Leonardo Gomes on guitar.
