Editor's note

CPM 22's Brazilian punk rock from Barueri

A São Paulo band that's been putting out records since 2000, with songs like 'Esperança Pra Lutar' in their set.

If you're checking them out, 'Esperança Pra Lutar' and 'Regina Let's Go!' give you a sense of what they do. It's straightforward punk rock from São Paulo.

They came out of Barueri in 1995 and built a catalog that's lasted. 'Esperança Pra Lutar' is one of those songs that shows up in their live shows years later. Their first album had 'Um Minuto Para o Fim do Mundo,' which got some attention in Brazil when it dropped.

They started with 'A Alguns Quilômetros de Lugar Nenhum' in 2000. Guitarist Wally left in 2007, and Phil Fargnoli joined. They put out 'Cidade Cinza' in 2016.
