Crazy Dream formed in New York City in the late 1990s with Ethan James on vocals and guitar, Jake Carter on bass, and Noah Taylor on drums. Their debut single "Crazy Dream" came out in 2002, and the accompanying album Echoes of the Past reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. They followed it with albums like Whispers in the Wind and Shadows of the Heart.
Noah Taylor left the band in 2010, replaced by Josh Daniels on drums. Jake Carter departed in 2015, with Chris Smith taking over on bass. The original lineup of James, Carter, and Taylor reunited in 2018, touring and releasing the album The Fire Within. Other songs in their catalog include "Fuscão" and "Who Loves Not Feel."
