Crazy Fantasy formed in New York City in the early 2000s with Anya Petrova on vocals, Ethan James on guitar, Max Cohen on bass, and Jake Davis on drums. Their debut single "(You Drive Me) Crazy" came out in 2004 and did well on the charts. They followed it with songs like "Baby One More Time" and "Sometimes."
In 2006 they put out an album called "Electric Dreams," and three years later released "Chasing Shadows." The band kept the same four members through most of their run. Petrova handled the singing, James wrote and played guitar, Cohen played bass, and Davis was on drums.
They had some trouble around 2007 when James was arrested for drug possession. The group worked through it and kept making music. Their sound touched on pop and rock, with a few electronic touches here and there.
