Crossbreed formed in the early 2000s from the remains of another band called Insanity. Their lineup included vocalist Scott Vogel, guitarists Mike Low and Lou Koller, bassist Chad Ruhlig, and drummer Nick Jett.
In 2002 they released their debut album 'Underlined,' which gave them their title track and a song called '48 Grave.' Vogel's delivery was aggressive, and the guitar work from Low and Koller leaned into thrash and hardcore.
They put out more albums like 'Life in Your Hands' in 2005 and 'Sunken' in 2009. Their live shows were known for being raw and energetic. The band went through some lineup changes over time, and Vogel's lyrics and stage presence drew strong reactions.
