I knew we wouldn't have to travel far

Before you'd say, "I don't know where we are."

But going anywhere with you

Was such a special thing,

And it never was long before we'd laugh

And sing.

And when I saw you lying there,

All hooked up and not going anywhere,

I had no idea they'd unplug you like that,

Ya coulda lived for years on all that fat.

In this poor excuse for a town where we

There's nowhere to hide,

So don't even try to run.

So much criticism is just plain jealousy,

At the garbage bin he used to watch

The ballgame with me.

And when we went to baltimore,

Kicked in the head when we fell

On the floor,
