Crystal Stilts

Crystal Stilts formed in Brooklyn around 2003, with Brad Hargett handling vocals. Their first album, 'Alight of Night,' came out in 2008 and got some attention for its hazy, dreamlike quality. The band's lineup shifted over time, which made things unpredictable.

They followed up with 'In Love with Oblivion' in 2011, which included the song 'Alien Rivers.' Later records like 'Nature Noir' and 'The Radiant Door' kept that atmospheric feel but added more electronic textures. The music stayed pretty consistent, shimmering guitars, steady rhythms, and Hargett's distant, echoing voice.

Crystal Stilts never broke through to a huge audience, but they built a small, loyal following who appreciated their particular brand of moody, reverb-drenched rock. They put out a handful of albums over about fifteen years, then seemed to fade from regular activity.
