Custom71 formed in Monterrey in 2001 with Gerardo "Gerry" Canseco on vocals, guitarists Ricardo Rojas and Alejandro Ocaña, bassist Oscar Ortiz, and drummer Mario García. They released their debut album 'Mi Destino' in 2004. Songs like 'Fuego Eterno' and 'Guerreros Elegidos' became staples for the band.
Their 2006 album 'Devorando Nuestro Tiempo' included 'Fuego Eterno,' which developed a strong following. The band continued releasing albums through the 2010s, including 'Entre la Vida y la Muerte' in 2012. They faced a legal dispute over music rights in 2017.
Custom71's catalog includes eight studio albums, with 'Un Nuevo Sol' arriving in 2021.
