Customi Z

Customi Z formed in the early 2000s around Zephyr, a former classical musician who brought together vocalist Phoenix and drummer Riff. They started experimenting with electronic beats and distorted guitars, a combination that didn't sit easily with either rock or electronic purists at the time. Their sound was often dismissed as noise by critics who felt they were diluting genre boundaries.

In 2005, they released the album 'Unleashed,' which included the single 'Coolest.' That track gained significant airplay and helped push them toward a wider audience. Their live shows became known for elaborate costumes and pyrotechnics, which drew mixed reactions alongside their lyrical focus on themes like environmentalism and technology.

The band has put out five studio albums over roughly two decades, from 'Unleashed' in 2005 to 'Infinite' in 2023. Their lineup eventually expanded to include bassist Nova alongside Zephyr, Phoenix, and Riff.
