D'Larc formed in São Paulo in 1982 with Marcelo Nova on vocals, Paulo Marchetti on guitar, Billy on bass, and Paulo Franco on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1985 and included the song 'A Noite É Nossa,' which became something of an anthem in Brazil.
They put out a live album recorded in Rio in 1991. Over time, their sound incorporated some blues and funk elements alongside their rock foundation. They worked with other Brazilian artists like Rita Lee and Arnaldo Antunes.
Their catalog includes albums like 'O Caminho das Pedras' from 1996 and 'Acústico' from 2001. Another of their well-known tracks is 'Senhora Natureza.'
