D. Rain was a Brazilian pop rock band that formed in the early 2000s, led by vocalist and guitarist Edgar Scandurra. They released their first album 'Ilha dos Marinheiros' in 2002, followed by several others including 'Pra Quem Ama o Blues' in 2005 and 'O Samba da Vida' in 2007. The band's lineup included Fernando Penna on guitar, Claudio Mota on bass, and Gustavo X on drums.
Their 2009 album 'Hoje a Gente Vai Fazer' gave them their most recognizable song, the title track that became something of a signature for the band. They also had songs like 'Vou Superar' and 'Por Um Triz' that connected with listeners.
D. Rain kept recording through the 2010s with albums like 'Passeios' in 2011, 'Manifesto' in 2014, and 'Nada Mudou' in 2017. Their music mixed pop rock with elements of samba and blues, and they developed a following of fans who called themselves 'os Filhos da Lua.' The band went through some lineup changes over time, including the departure of keyboardist Eduardo Lyra.
