D Rock formed in Argentina in 1984 with Jorge Larrosa on vocals, Osvaldo Civile on guitar, Daniel Telis on bass, and Alfredo Toth on drums. They built a following in Buenos Aires with a sound that drew from classic rock. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1987 and included the song "Nunca Me Dejes Caer," which became their most recognizable track.
Guitarist Osvaldo Civile left the band in 1996. The group kept recording through the 1990s, putting out albums like "Fuera de Control," "Buscando un Sentido," and "Identidad." In 2003, they faced plagiarism accusations over the song "Para Siempre," which they denied.
Later albums included "Camino al Sol" in 2015 and "Inmortal" in 2020. The lineup has included Javier Miranda on guitar alongside Larrosa, Telis, and Toth.
