D'Souza was a Brazilian band that formed in Rio de Janeiro in the early 2000s. They had a hit with the song "Só Sorriso," which became something of an anthem. The band's sound mixed pop, rock, and samba.
Their debut album was also called "Só Sorriso" and came out in 2002. They released two more albums: "O Abraço" in 2004 and "De Volta ao Sorriso" in 2007. The lineup included Pedro D'Souza on vocals, Gabriel Figueiredo on guitar, Felipe Martins on bass, and João Paulo Lima on drums.
Pedro D'Souza's personality sometimes drew attention, and the band's lyrics occasionally got criticized. Gabriel Figueiredo left in 2005 and was replaced by Rafael Ramos. In 2008, Pedro D'Souza departed from the group.
