D.A. was a Los Angeles band that formed in 2002, originally called Dangerous Angels. Their debut album 'And Away We Go' came out in 2003 and included the song 'Every Time You Walk Away,' which became their best-known track.
David Ryan Harris handled lead vocals and guitar, with Jeff Russo on guitar, Scott Schoenbeck on drums, and David Steele on bass. They released three more albums after their debut: 'The Days Go By' in 2006, 'Up at Night' in 2009, and a self-titled record in 2013.
In 2010, the band got caught up in a legal dispute over the rights to 'Every Time You Walk Away.' Their former manager claimed co-ownership of the song, leading to years of court proceedings before Harris ended up with sole rights.
