Daan

Daan was a Belgian alternative rock band from Antwerp that formed in the late 1990s. The group centered around singer-songwriter Daan Stuyven, with guitarist Wouter Van Belle and drummer Stef Westendorp. They released their debut album 'Chocolate' in 1998, which blended indie rock with electronic elements.

Their third album 'Victory' came out in 2002 and included the song '1969', which became their most widely recognized track. The band continued releasing music through the 2000s and into the 2010s with albums like 'Bridge Burner', 'The Ride', and 'Nada'. Their catalog includes songs such as 'Flash Gordon', 'Sell Yourself', and 'Convertible Chaos'.

Daan performed at festivals including Pukkelpop, where a 2006 set drew attention for Stuyven's stage behavior. The band eventually stopped working together, having put out six studio albums over roughly two decades.
