Daði Freyr is an Icelandic musician who gained international attention in 2020 with his song 'Think About Things.' The track was meant to represent Iceland in that year's Eurovision Song Contest before the event was canceled. He had formed the musical collective Gagnamagnið a few years earlier with Hulda Kristín Kolbrúnardóttir and Árný Marín Ólafsdóttir.
His father is the musician Gunnar Þórðarson, and his mother is singer Rósa Björk Þorleifsdóttir. The group Gagnamagnið released their debut album 'Eins og mér sýnist' in 2019. Other songs in his catalog include 'Endurtaka Mig' and '10 Years.'
In 2021, Daði Freyr was involved in a legal dispute with the band Árstíðir over plagiarism claims, though the lawsuit was eventually dismissed.
