Daisy Chainsaw formed in London in 1991 with Katie Jane Garside on vocals and Crispin Gray on guitar, later adding drummer Vince Perdichizzi and bassist Osman Hussey. Their debut album 'Hope Your Dreams Come True' came out in 1992, featuring songs like 'Love Me Forever' and 'Zebra Head' that captured a raw, unpolished energy. Garside's vocals had a distinctive quality that wasn't quite like anything else happening at the time.

After their debut, the band released 'Eleventeen' in 1994, which showed them moving into more experimental territory. Members came and went over the next few years, Hussey left in 1993, Perdichizzi departed after 'Eleventeen', but they kept recording. They put out 'Plastic World' in 1996 and 'Love Sick' in 1998 before disbanding in 1999.

Some of their songs like 'Candyfloss' and 'Lovely Ugly Brutal World' still turn up on playlists today. After Daisy Chainsaw ended, Garside worked on solo material while Gray and Hussey formed Hotel Lux.
