Daisy Maciel

Daisy Maciel came up singing in church choirs and local talent shows around São Paulo. Her 2010 debut album, 'A Menina Dos Olhos de Deus,' took off when its title track connected with listeners. That song, along with others like 'Soldado Valente' and 'Deus do Impossível,' helped establish her voice in Brazilian music.

She has released several albums since then, including 'Minha Essência' in 2012 and 'Além do Horizonte' in 2017. Her work has involved collaborations with artists like Alceu Valença and Chico Buarque. For a time, her band included guitarist Marco Aurélio, bassist André Vasconcelos, and drummer João Pedro.

In 2016, there was some public discussion about similarities between her song 'Alma Lavada' and another artist's work, though she was not found to have done anything wrong. She kept performing, with songs like 'Você não pode desistir' and 'Você e Vencedor' appearing in her setlists.
