Archive material and source history
Daize formed in Los Angeles in 2010 with Whitney Peyton on vocals and guitar, Josh Paul on guitar, Chris Kleiman on bass, and Steven Macchia on drums. Their debut EP was called "The Way Out." Macchia left the band in 2013 and was replaced by drummer Caleb Denison.
Their song "Don't Want To Lose Your Love" became their most recognizable track. They followed it with other releases like "Life's a Beach" and "Glitter and Gold." Other songs in their catalog include "Girl," "Misery," "Share," and "Spend The Night."
Peyton wrote lyrics that dealt with relationships and personal reflection. The band worked in a space between pop melodies and rock arrangements.
