Daklon is an Israeli band best known for their song "Ahava Shel Yom Chadash." The track appeared on their self-titled debut album in 2002. They released three more albums over the next eight years: Yamim Tovim in 2004, HaZman in 2007, and Shalom in 2010.
Ohad Shrem sings lead vocals for the group. The other members are Omer Avital on bass, Yossi Fine on guitar, and Eran Carmeli on keyboards. In 2012, Shrem was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, which caused the band to postpone a tour.
In 2015, Daklon declined to perform in a settlement in the West Bank. The decision drew criticism and accusations of political bias. The band has said their focus is on music rather than politics.
