Dakoda Motor Co. formed in 1995 with three brothers from South Dakota: Jason, Jeff, and Joel Smeltzer. They put out four albums between 1998 and 2004, starting with 'Prairie Dog' and including the 1999 record 'All Good Generals'.
Their sound mixed hard rock with some alternative country and folk, built around Jason's guitar and vocals, Jeff's bass, and Joel's drums. The song 'All Good Generals' became their best-known track, but they also had others like 'Everything' and 'Grey Clouds'.
