Dakota Lotus is a rock band from Los Angeles that formed in 2015. They signed with Neon Records in 2017 and released their debut album 'Echoes of the Night' that same year. The lead single 'No Matter What' became a hit on alternative rock charts.
The band includes vocalist and lead guitarist Ethan James, bassist Amelia Rose, drummer Jake Davis, and rhythm guitarist Oliver Park. In 2018, Ethan James was diagnosed with nerve damage in his hands but returned to performing after rehabilitation. In 2020, the band faced plagiarism accusations from a former fan, which they denied.
