Dallas Ink formed in São Paulo in 1994 with Alexandre 'Xand' Avilez on vocals, Paulo 'PJ' James on bass, Danilo 'Dani' Andrade on guitar, and Fábio 'Fabão' Rodrigues on drums. They released three albums between 1997 and 2001: 'De Frente Pro Céu' in 1997, 'Invisível Aos Olhos' in 1999, and 'Não Me Deixe Só' in 2001.
Their songs often dealt with social themes and personal struggles, which sometimes put them at odds with mainstream expectations. The track 'Invisivel Aos Olhos' from their second album became particularly well-known for its lyrics about feeling unseen.
Other songs like 'Alguém Pra Você,' 'Pouco Tempo,' 'Outro Lado,' and 'Seu Lugar' rounded out their catalog. They were active for about seven years before stopping.
