Dalvimar Galo came up in Valença, Bahia, singing hymns and spirituals from a young age. By the late 1980s he'd formed a band under his own name, and in 1995 they put out a debut album called 'O Milagre.' That record had a song called 'Cura-Me, Senhor Jesus!' on it, which caught on across Brazil.
He kept recording through the late '90s, with albums like 'Cura-Me, Senhor Jesus!' in 1997 and 'Milagres e Vitórias' in 1999. Another track people remember is 'Misericórdia.'
In 2006 there were allegations about money and misconduct, and he stepped away from music for a while. He came back later and kept singing.
