Damaged

Damaged formed in Los Angeles in the early 1980s with Eric Nailer on vocals and guitar, Chris Reed on bass, and John Napier on drums. Their first album, 'Ride,' came out in 1982. The band's songs often dealt with difficult subjects, which drew both praise and criticism from listeners and reviewers.

They put out several albums after that, including 'Broken' in 1984, 'Shadows' in 1986, and 'Faded' in 1989. Tracks like 'Freaks & Geeks' and 'Head Trauma' show their tendency toward raw, heavy material. The lineup changed at times, with Dave Miller and Paul Thompson joining on guitar and keyboards.

Damaged broke up in 1992. Their music, with its unvarnished approach to dark themes, found an audience in alternative rock circles and influenced some later bands.
