Damagge formed in 2005 around vocalist and guitarist Dave Padden, who went by Dam. The band's debut album, 'The Entrance of a Dawn I,' came out in 2009. They followed it with 'The Entrance of a Dawn II' and 'Silt.'
Padden handled vocals and guitar, with Josh Jepson on bass and Andrew Norton on drums. They toured regularly and developed a following for their heavy, experimental sound.
Their music mixed metal with post-rock and noise elements. Padden's lyrics often dealt with dark themes, which sometimes drew criticism. The band kept working despite that, staying active in the underground scene.
