D.A.M.C formed in 1994 with Diego Arnedo on vocals and guitar, Carlos "El Zurdo" Martin on bass, Rodolfo "Roduke" Fuentes on drums, and Néstor "El Negro" Lertora on guitar. They came up in Argentina's rock scene with a raw sound that pulled from punk, metal, and hardcore.
Their 1997 album "Invasor de Mentes" gave them their breakthrough. The title track became a hit, and the record established them with a certain audience. They kept putting out albums through the early 2000s, like "No Estamos Muertos" in 1999 and "Luces y Sombras" in 2002.
In 2000, a Buenos Aires concert ended with rioting and arrests, which led to a temporary ban on their live shows. The lineup shifted over time, though Arnedo stayed at the center of it.
