After that, he joined the boy band Why Don't We, which put out an EP called '8 Letters' that hit number one on iTunes. The group released albums like 'Invitation' and 'The Good Times and the Bad Ones' over the next few years.
In 2019, Seavey started putting out solo work. His debut single 'Can We Pretend That We're Good?' came out that year, followed by songs like 'Runaway' and 'Bleed On Me.' He released a solo EP called 'Dan' in 2020. Why Don't We includes four other members: Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson, Jack Avery, and Zach Herron.
