Danillo Pereira and Alessandro Costa started playing together in São Paulo in the early 2000s, performing in small venues around the city. Their first single, "Curtindo a Solidão," came out in 2008 and found an audience with its straightforward take on solitude.
Their songs, including "De Segunda a Segunda," often leaned into direct lyrics that didn't shy away from personal or social themes.
For a while, they worked as a duo with Pereira handling most of the vocals and Costa on guitar. Their catalog stayed fairly compact, built around those early singles and the 2012 album.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
