Danilo Dias came from Vitória da Conquista in northeastern Brazil. He started singing in church as a teenager, and his song 'Filho Amado' became widely known after he released an album with that title in 1998.
In 2012, he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a neurological condition that left him temporarily paralyzed. He recovered and returned to performing. A few years later, his public support for a political candidate drew attention and divided some of his audience.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
