Danilo Lira is a vocalist and accordionist from São Paulo, born in 1988. He grew up listening to forró and was influenced by artists like Luiz Gonzaga and Dominguinhos. He started playing at local events before releasing his debut album in 2012.
That first album was called "Aí Mente," named after its title track. The song became popular and helped establish him in the genre. He followed it with several other albums over the next few years, including "Meu Forró" in 2013 and "Pé de Serra" in 2016.
In 2019, his album "Sem Limites" won the Prêmio Multishow for Best Forró Album. He has worked with other Brazilian musicians like Wesley Safadão and Gusttavo Lima on various projects.
