Dareyes de la Sierra formed in the late 1980s in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico, with vocalist Pepe Zavala. Their name translates to Warriors of the Mountains, which reflects their connection to that region. They started playing local festivals, performing rancheras, corridos, and norteño ballads. In 1993, their debut album 'El Aventurero' brought them national attention.
Their 2000 album 'El Despreciado' included the singles 'El Jefe' and 'La Mejor de Todas.' They followed it with albums like 'El Rey del Corrido' in 2003 and 'Los Dueños del Rancho' in 2010. Some of their popular songs include 'A La Brava' and 'Cigarro De Hoja.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
