Dario Baldan Bembo was born in Treviso, Italy in 1948. By the mid-1960s he had formed a band with Mino Di Martino, Bruno Bergonzi, and Pino Presti. Their debut album 'Siamo Quattro' came out in 1969, followed by 'Io Non Sono Italino' in 1971.
That second album included 'Da Quando Non Ci Sei (Una Volta Ancora)', which became their best-known song. They kept recording through the 1970s with albums like 'Un'ora Solo', 'Parole', and 'Uomo e donna'.
In 1975 their performance of 'Amico' at the Sanremo Music Festival drew boos from the audience, with some suggesting the reaction was about the song's content. They continued releasing music including '...E mi manchi tanto' in 1977 and 'Un concerto a 14 mani' in 1978.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
